In honor of Oct. 1st, I am reposting $$$ Important Financial Aid Info For Seniors and Parents $$$

Attention all high school seniors planning on attending college in the fall of 2020 and their parents. This is a reminder that the FASFA and CSS profile open October 1st, a few short weeks away! Please take note that all institutions require submission of the FASFA for consideration for need based aid. Some colleges require this form for merit aid consideration as well. Many colleges and universities also require submission of the CSS profile. Please check with the institutions on your college list to find out if they require this. You should be able to find out the information regarding what forms are required and the deadlines for the individual institutions on their college websites. Deadlines may vary depending on if you are planning to apply early decision, early action or regular decision, and this information may not be stated in their applications.

To complete these forms, both student and parent must create their own individual FSA ID# (Federal Student Aid Identification Number). This serves as your legal signature.

Have your documents ready:

- 2018 federal tax returns of both student and parents.

-Social Security Numbers

-W-2 forms for both student and parent
